Research Interests
Hai is working on the vacuum evaporation onto running liquid technique apparatus that was built by Raymond Lemoine and Shaina Rembolt to produce magnetic nanoparticles. The magnetic particles obtained by this method have the dimensions on the order of few nanometers. They are coated by surfactants in a liquid carrier to avoid them from agglomerating. These nanoparticles have the potential for many applications such as ferrofluids and magnetically controlled transport of anti-cancer drugs.
Biography
Hai graduated from the University of Hanoi, Vietnam in 1994. He received his MSc in materials science from the International Training Institute for Materials Science (ITIMS - Hanoi, Vietnam) in 1996 and his PhD in physics from Universite de Grenoble I (Grenoble, France) in 2003. He joined the group of Prof. Leslie-Pelecky in August 2003 and left to become a member of the faculty of physics at Hanoi University of Science in Vietnam.
