Getting Liquid Nitrogen
- Go to the UTD Central Store website. http://vulcan.utdallas.edu/cscatalog/CSR.asp. Under "lab supplies", fill out the electronic form to request liquid N2.
- When you submit the form, an email will be sent to the person responsible for the approval of the form.
- Print the form and get the required signatures. Tape the completed form to the liquid N2 container, and leave it by the side of the liquid N2 tankat Berkner Hall before 11 am. The tank is in the hall by the stairs on the same side of the Chem Store.
- George will fill out all containers sitting there that were put before 11 am (he comes to fill them by this time) and then, the containers will be sitting there for pick-up. He just fills the containers once a day, so it needed to programmed in terms of experiments, to have it filled the previous day, etc.
Important: We can only order by full containers, so use the smallest container we have that is consistent with your needs. Do not ask him to fill 2L dewars.
