X-Ray Diffractometer
The Ultima IV X-Ray Diffractometer is optimized for studying nanopowders. In addition to conventional power diffraction scans, the instrument has a high temperature attachment, the ability to run plate and capilliary configurations, and Small Angle X-Ray Scattering capabilities.
To become certified user the instrument, users must:
- Have a radiation badge from Environmental Health and Safety and have completed their radiation safety training.
- Complete the application to become a certified user. Instructions for submission are on the application.
- Complete the two-hour training session
The hourly facility rates are:
- $39.36 - for training and assisted use
- $17.13 - for unassisted use
The assisted rate will apply until you have qualified to use the facility independently.
